Horace Michael “Mike” Bilbro, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 12, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Collier-Butler Chapel. The family will accept friends from noon until the hour of the service. Rev. Les Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in Charge of arrangements.
Mike was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School class of 1960. He then attended Auburn University. He loved playing golf with his Goodyear buddies. Mike enjoyed many outdoor activities such as snow skiing, hunting, camping, and seeing all the beautiful creations of God in our country. He lived his life with joy. Mike devoted his life to his family and his church.
Mr. Bilbro is preceded in death by his father, Horace Bilbro; mother, Nell Bilbro; father-in-law, Patrick Fox; and mother-in law, Margaret Fox.
He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Helen Fox Bilbro; daughters, Michelle Bilbro Culp, and Nicole Bilbro Leach; granddaughters, Rae Leach and Ann Leach; grandson, Ryan Pearce; sister, Pat Bilbro Kelley; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Pearce, Ricky Kelley, Renick Adams, Curtis Rowe, David Culp, and Ricky Pearce.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
The family will accept flowers or memorials can be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, or your favorite charity.
