Horace H. Horton, 97, left this earth on March 30, 2015. He was a faithful lifelong member of Annapolis Avenue Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death are his parents, George and Lena Horton, siblings, three infants, Daniel, Percy, Mitchell, Beatrice, and Avner, wife, Juanita Horton, sons-in-law, William Croy and Duane Johnson, and daughter, Patricia Croy.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Johnson Mitchell; grandchildren, Jay Johnson (Carol), Jill Jones, Jana Lyons (Eric), Jo Anne Dutton (Todd), and Sharon and Michael; brother, Bob Horton; and sister, Dorothy Kuykendall; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 2, 2015, 10:30 a.m. to noon at Annapolis Avenue Church of Christ. His funeral service will follow with Terry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
