Horace Eugene Taylor was born August 12, 1945, to the late Jimmie and Horace Taylor in Gibson County. Declining health took a toll on him and he departed this life on June 9, 2025, at Avondale Health & Rehabilitation Center in Humboldt TN.

Horace graduated as a valedictorian of his class in 1963 from Gibson County Training School (Polk Clark). He went on to work for Volunteer Leather in Milan TN, receiving a plaque to commemorate 25 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Front Street Church of Christ where he served as a song leader until he moved and placed his membership at the Skyline Drive Church of Christ in Jackson TN.

Horace loved the Lord and his church. He has been a source of encouragement to new converts as well as new song leaders throughout the years and he is known for helping others, doing a lot behind the scenes. He will be missed.
