Mr. Horace Darby Calvert, age 75 of Athens, AL passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home. Mr. Calvert was born on May 1, 1942 in Limestone County to Harvey and Louella Cribbs Calvert.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carlos Calvert.
Mr. Calvert is survived by his wife, Brenda Calvert; sons, Darron Anderson Calvert (Melissa) and Jason Bradley Calvert (Ivie); grandchildren, Seth Thomas Calvert, Asa McKinnley Calvert, Saundra Elizabeth Calvert, Jackson Alloway Calvert, Mia Alexis Calvert and Malcolm Aiden Calvert; sister, Marilyn Calvert Rouse and sister-in-law, Lynda Roper Reece (Mark).
Mr. Calvert married his wife of 53 years on September 29, 1964. He enjoyed fishing and was an animal lover.
There will be a memorial service for Mr. Calvert at 1:00Pm Sunday, December 10, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Market Street with Bishop David Byington officiating.
