RUSSELLVILLE-The City of Russellville is honored to recognize Captain Joe Hargett for his 26 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Russellville and Franklin County. Captain Hargett will be retiring November 1st. Captain Hargett started his career with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in 2000. In 2005 Captain Hargett then joined the Russellville Police Department.

unwavering commitment. His leadership, experience, and devotion to duty have left a lasting impact on our department and community.
As Captain Hargett embarks on his next chapter, we wish him continued success, happiness, and fulfillment. While we celebrate his well-earned retirement, we also recognize the tremendous experience and mentorship we lose with his departure—qualities that will take years to replace.
Captain Hargett’s legacy of service and dedication will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps. The Russellville Police Department extends its deepest gratitude and best wishes for a long, happy, and healthy retirement. There will be a reception at the Russellville Police Department October 29th from 1pm-3pm.
