Homer Lowell Williams, 96, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born at home in Marion County, AL to Homer Lester and Eula Shotts Williams. He worked for the county road commissioner for many years. He was an avid hunter throughout his entire life. He enjoyed farming, gardening and fishing as well. Time spent with his great-grandchildren, Stetson and Norah Kate, brought him much joy and happiness in his later years.
Graveside services will be Sunday, June 22, 3 p.m. at Shottsville Cemetery with Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Doris Williams; son, Garry Williams (Phyllis); granddaughters, Jill Hester (Bryan) and Lauren Taylor; great-grandchildren, Stetson Taylor and Norah Kate Hester; one sister, Kate Renfroe and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joel Mack Williams and one sister, Lurla Watson.
Pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Kevin Watson, Steven Watson, Steve Emerson, Jeff Emerson, Terry “Boo” Wilson and Joey Renfroe.
