Hollis H. Dill, age 85, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on October 6, 2014. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The service will follow at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clint Busler officiating. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Dill was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Mamie (McRight) Dill, by a sister, Mamie Dill Amos, and by his four brothers – Gilbert, Raymond, Ernest, and Marlow Dill. He is survived by a daughter, Glenda Martin of Melbourne, Florida; two sisters, Flora Brown of Tupelo, Miss., and Stella Byrd of Tuscumbia; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; and nieces and nephews. The family thanks the staff of Wellington Place of the Shoals and the staff of Hospice Advantage for their special care and attention to Mr. Dill.
