Hollis Elmer Lindley, 77, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday February 13, 2014, at ECM Hospital, following an extended illness. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm Sunday at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the service at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Bedsole officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Lindley was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Sheffield and was retired as a computer analyst for TVA. He had also served in the US Air Force.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 42 years, Jean Messer Lindley; brothers, Baxter Lindley and Kieffer Lindley; sisters, Lois Williamson and Oniece Thorn. He is survived by his wife, Frances Wilson Lindley; sons, David Lindley (Kim), Starkville, MS and Ravinell Wilson (Margaret), Birmingham; daughter, Gay Franks (Stacy), Killen; brothers, Rowe Lindley and Charles Lindley both of Vina, AL, Paulman Lindley, Zion, IL; grandchildren, Sara Lindley, Erin Lindley, Mary Grace Lindley, Joshua Franks, Kaitlyn Franks, Savanna Franks, James Ravinell Wilson, III, Lauren Wilson and Alexander Cain.
