Hollis Elmer Lindley, 77, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday Feb. 13, 2014, at ECM Hospital following an extended illness. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bill Bedsole officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Lindley was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Sheffield and was retired as a computer analyst for TVA. He had also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 42 years, Jean Messer Lindley; brothers, Baxter Lindley and Kieffer Lindley; and sisters, Lois Williamson and Oniece Thorn. He is survived by his wife, Frances Wilson Lindley; sons, David Lindley (Kim), Starkville, Miss., and Ravinell Wilson (Margaret), Birmingham; daughter, Gay Franks (Stacy), Killen; brothers, Rowe Lindley and Charles Lindley, both of Vina, Ala, and Paulman Lindley, Zion, Ill.; grandchildren, Sara Lindley, Erin Lindley, Mary Grace Lindley, Joshua Franks, Kaitlyn Franks, Savanna Franks, James Ravinell Wilson III, Lauren Wilson, and Alexander Cain.
