TUSCUMBIA – It was Shoals Music Legend Edsel Holden’s turn to be honored at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Sunday afternoon Holden was presented with a Bronze Star of the Walk of Fame.
On hand were many members of his family and a couple of hundred well-wishers and fans.
Speakers at the event were: ย Dixie Griffin Director of Hall of Fame, Judy Hood, board member of the Hall of Fame, Dr. Lloyd Jones ย Director of Bands at UNA, Peggy Clay, and Inductee ย Donnie Fritts,
After the star was unveiled, everybodyย enjoyed refreshments and great music fromย Buddy Thompson and Friends. ย And lastly there was an unexpected treat… Edsel stepped up to the mic andย sang with the band!
