HUNTSVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving a pedestrain who was killed. The vehicle left the scene of the accident and authorities are searching for the driver and the vehicle:
“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, has claimed the life of a Huntsville man.
The pedestrian, Cyril A. Nembhard, 66, was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle. Nembhard was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the crash left the scene. The vehicle’s make, model, and the driver is currently unknown. The crash occurred on Indian Creek Road near Jones Street, approximately one mile north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
