DECATUR-The Historic Decatur Christmas Tour is held the second Saturday in December each year (December 9). During this time many of the homes in Decatur’s historic districts open their doors for public tours. The annual Christmas Tour of Homes showcases the Old Decatur Historic District and Albany Historic District, which contain one of the finest and largest collections of Victorian and early 20th century craftsman and bungalow homes in Alabama. Local stores and restaurants join in the revelry by offering specials and refreshments. Come enjoy our hospitality! We hope you will make us part of your Christmas tradition.
Tour sites are open from 3:00PM to 8:00PM to ensure time to visit them all.
This year’s schedule includes a Holiday Market and bells choir concert at Westminster Presbyterian Church in the Albany district and carriage rides (separate ticket) through Old Decatur. Don’t forget downtown merchants and restaurants will be open for your dining and holiday shopping needs before and during the tour.
First United Methodist Church will serve as tour headquarters (light refreshments available for tour ticket holders).
Please contact the Decatur-Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 256-350-2028 or 1-800-524-6181 for additional information.
