Hiram Montgomery “Bunk” Russell, 89, of Muscle Shoals, passed away March 25, 2013.
Visitation will be Tuesday March 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 27, in the chapel, with burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Chris Barnett is officiating.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha M. Russell; parents, Charles E. and Allie Mae Watson Russell.
Survivors include sons, Richard Russell and wife, Pam, Michael A. Russell and wife, Helicia, all of Muscle Shoals;
daughters, Rebecca M. Reed, Sue Miller and husband, Jerry, and Teresa Wilson and husband, Marlin, all of Muscle Shoals;
sisters, Katherine Llewellyn, Ruth Darnell, both of Sheffield, Barbara Jones and husband, Eddie, of Muscle Shoals, and Janice Vess, of Fayetteville, N.C.;
ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are sons-in-law, Jerry Miller and Marlin Wilson, grandsons, Jeff Miller, Brad Russell, John-Michael Russell and grandson by marriage, Chase Hutcheson.
Mr. Russell was a member of the First Baptist of Killen, retired from T.V.A. as a machinist and a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWll.
