Hilton Dayton French Sr. – Obituary

Hilton Dayton French Sr., age 75, of Lexington, Ala., passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. French was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of American Legion Post 146, a retired truck driver for Sharp Transport and of the Baptist faith. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Jeff Crews, Robert Walton and Seth Crunk will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Survivors are

wife, Carolyn French, Lexington, Ala.;

two sons, Horace Russell French and wife, Bettie, Moulton, Ala.,

Hilton Dayton French and wife, Brenda, Lexington, Ala.; one daughter, Shari Marla Crunk, Lexington, Ala.;

three sisters, Catherine Belew, Lexington, Ala.,

Jewell Beckman and husband, Henry, Loretto, Tenn.,

Emma Hean Nunley and husband, Hop, Greenhill, Ala.;

six grandchildren;

seven great-grandchildren;

several nieces; and nephews

He was preceded in death by

parents, Oren Dayton and Katie Estelle Killen French;

grandmother, Addie French.

Loretto Memorial Chapel

is in charge of all arrangements.
