Hilma Ruth Lynchard, 91, of Cherokee, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 21, 2022. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, May 24th, at 10:00 a.m. at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Ruth was a native of Stewart, MS, but raised her family in Memphis, TN, before moving to Cherokee. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. “Bud” Boatman and Marie Sally Boatman.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, E.W. “Buddy” Lynchard; sons, Rodney Lynchard and wife Debbie of Fall Creek, Oregon and Timothy Lynchard and wife Cheryl of Cherokee, AL; grandchildren, Anthony Lynchard and wife Kira, Josh Lynchard and wife Paige, Nicole Christensen and husband Jace, Danielle Lynchard, Samantha Lynchard, and Victoria Lynchard; and great-granddaughter, Jade Lynchard.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
