Funeral service for Hillard Tidwell, age 67, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Lawrence Funeal Home Chapel, Moulton with Jonathon Layman and Wendell Heflin officiating. Visitation will be today, May 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Loosier Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mr. Tidwell, who died May 19, 2016, at Lawrence Medical Center, Moulton, was born July 14, 1948, Town Creek. He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber as a fabric cutter. He was also an army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Tidwell and mother, Christine Beaver Tidwell.
Survivors include wife, Shelby Jean Heflin Tidwell; son, Shaun Patrick (Lauren) Tidwell, Town Creek; daughter, Hillary LaCosta (Wesley) Mitchell, Town Creek; brothers, twin brother, Dillard Tidwell, Jerry Dale Tidwell, both of Town Creek, G.W. Tidwell, Leighton, sisters, Wynette White, Lexington, Olivia Campbell and Kelli Mitchell, both of Town Creek, and Tina Helton, Montgomery; grandsons, Jaxson Caleb Mitchell, Wyatt Harrison Tidwell, and Wylan Colt Tidwell, all of Town Creek; and granddaughter, Bradyn Isabella Mitchell, Town Creek.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Mitchell, Jeff Heflin, Johnny Tidwell, Dwight Vanderford, Eric Tidwell, Jeremy Tidwell, Chad Tidwell, and Thomas Heflin.
