Mr. Hillard Leon Boyd age 88 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, October 02, 2020, at St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born March 28, 1932, in Dalton, Georgia, was a truck driver with Roadway Express, and was a member of First Baptist Church of McMinnville and a previous member of Fellowship Bible Church in Dalton, GA. He loved old cars, especially Corvettes. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by parents Rev. Romie B. and Easter Inez Holloway Boyd.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years Annette Sloan Boyd, son and daughter-in-law Rodney D. and Debby Boyd, grandchildren Brook B. Holmes, Seth Bryson (Ashton Brooke) Boyd and Ty Andrew (Emily Elizabeth) Boyd, brother and sister-in-law William Leonard and Barbara Boyd, and great grandchildren Adaline Jane Boyd, Julia Rosaline Holmes, and Jillian Evan Holmes.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 04, 2020 at First Baptist Church of McMinnville. Pastor Jeff Owens will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at First Baptist Church. An interment will be held at a later date in West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, Georgia.
