Funeral service for Hilda Nelson, 89, will be Friday, December 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nelson died on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born July 28, 1924, in Morgan County to James Powell and Dora Brannon Powell. She was a long-time member of the Hartselle Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Buron R. Nelson, her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
