Hilda Lindsey Crane – Obituary

hildaHilda Lindsey Crane, 79, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born January 5, 1935, to Moman and Maudie Lann Lindsey. She was a member of the Fulton Church of Christ. She worked with her husband for many years in the family business, F. L. Crane and Sons. She dearly loved her family.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday, September 24, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Minister Russ Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one son, Donny Crane of Fulton; one daughter, Karen Schmidt (Randy) of Texarkana, TX; one brother, Robert Lindsey of Amory; five grandchildren, Emily Schmidt of Charlotte, NC, Katheryn Norwood (Keith) of Texarkana, TX, Lee Crane (Kim) of Azle, TX, Megan Wilemon (Cale) of Fulton, and Justin Crane (Whitney) of Fulton; nine great-grandchildren, Chandler Crane, Jay Crane, Ben Crane, Taylor Wilemon, Cole Wilemon, Eli Wilemon, Brody Norwood, Paisley Crane, and Rylee Crane; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jimmie Crane, who died December 30, 2007; one sister, Merlie Cagle; three brothers, Worley Lindsey, Berlie Lindsey, and James Earlie Lindsey; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Cale Wilemon, Justin Crane, Lee Crane, and Keith Norwood.

Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the ICC Foundation for the Hilda Crane Endowment Fund, 602 West Hill Street, Fulton, MS 38843.
