Herman Walker Blevins, age 81, of Lexington, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Henry Melton officiating. Burial will be at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Blevins was retired with TVA and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Faith Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Emma Blevins, two children, two brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Glenda Blevins; eight children; four stepchildren; 32 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren; one sister; and two brothers. –
