Herman S. (Steve) Thompson, 83, of New Market passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Mr. Herman S. Thompson was born in Madison County Alabama on July 8, 1941 to the late Joe and Bertha Scott Thompson.
Steve served in the military from 1959 ~ 1963. He confessed his hope in Christ at a very early age.
Steve was united in Holy Matrimony to Linda Bailey Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Bertha Scott Thompson, his brother William Thompson and sister Dorothy Knighten.
He is survived by his wife Linda Bailey Thompson, his daughter Susan Pearce, Sons Darren Thompson, Steve Bailey, Brad Bailey, sisters Sylvia Strayer, Martha McElroy, brother Roy Thompson, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grand children.
He was an active member of Faith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church serving on the deacon board and other duties as well.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers during this very difficult time.
