Herman E. Harrison, 86, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at Shoals Hospital.  He was born in Franklin County, AL to Dalton and Beatrice Mayhall Harrison.  He retired from Wrangler after 25 years.  He worked for Keeton Lumber Co. and was a superintendent for Red Bay Water and Gas for four years.  He served on the Red Bay Zoning Board of Adjustment from July 2008-2022.  He was also part of the Neighborhood Watch program.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 29, at 5 p.m. at Ridge Cemetery with Dallas Culver officiating.  Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Avenell Harrison; one son Harlan Harrison (Denise) and a granddaughter, Brina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Paul Glenn Harrison and a sister, Sue Barrett.
