Herbert Theopolis “H.T.” Wilson, age 55, returned home to be with the Lord Feb. 5, 2017. He was the husband of Alisha Wilson. They shared 33 years together. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Tom Whatley officiating. Burial will follow at Rogers Chapel Cemetery, Florence.
Born in Florence, Alabama, he was the son of the late Virgil and Effie Wilson and was a graduate of Wilson High School. H.T. was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 14 of Florence. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being outdoors. He will be remembered for his humor and willingness to help anyone he met.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Lindsey Wilson (Will Wright) and Mary-Francis Wilson (Casey Rice), and sisters, Anne Erwin, Brenda Simpson, Amanda Mann, Sharon Rutherford, and Kathy Crittenden. Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Rice, Bob Evans, Robert Irby, Kendall Murphy, Bart Hill, Carl Watters, Cody Sillis, and Evan McIntyre.
H.T. was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
