Herbert James “Jim” Johnson, 81 of Sheffield, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
Jim was a native of Chicago, Illinois and lived most of his life in Memphis, TN before moving to the shoals area. He was a United States Marine Veteran and a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mae Johnson; brothers, Richard and Patrick Johnson; and sister, Joyce O’Connor.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jo Ann Ligda Johnson; brother, Michael J. Johnson of Memphis, TN; brother-in-law, Robert O’Connor of Memphis, TN; sister-in-law, Deborah Johnson of Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
