Herbert Alton Leeth, 75 of the Ryan Community passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at his residence. Alton was born April 27, 1947, in Morgan County the son of Avery Leeth and Omae Shelton Leeth. He was retired from the Morgan County Board of Education, working as a custodian at Brewer High School. He was a member and deacon of Corinth Baptist Church and a former member of the Try County Fire Department.
He is survived by his Wife: Mable Hyatt Leeth, Daughters: Elizabeth (Marty) Feemster, Michelle (Lamar) Childs and Tammy Leeth Dudley, Son: Amel (Dawn) Leeth, Eight Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren, Sister: Martha (Dean) Elrod, Brother: Keith (Irene) Leeth, Aunt: Mary Pannel, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022, at New Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. He will lie-in-state at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
