Funeral service for Henry Hobbs, 75, will be Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. No Visitation is scheduled.
Mr. Hobbs passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born September 5, 1950, in Jefferson County, to Howard Webb Hobbs and Betty Ann Lawrence Hobbs.
He was employed as a Banker and Vice President, for First Commercial Bank, prior to his retirement. He was a graduate of Jacksonville State University, where he played football as a four years offensive tackle and the team won the Championship in 1973. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, spending time with his family, and was a loving father and grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Caroline Hobbs and his parents.
Survivors include
Step-Daughter – Whitney Wakefield (Brian),
Brother – Butch Hobbs (Rhonda),
Grand Child – Olivia Wakefield,
Niece – Emily Nelson (Brian),
Nephew – Josh Hobbs (Jan).
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
