Funeral for Henry Ellis Nix Jr., age 86, will be Sunday, July 6, at 2 p.m. conducted by Roselawn Funeral Home with brother Doug Fields officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Nix was born February 27, 1928, in Lawrence County to Henry E. Nix Sr. and Minnie Ellen Griffin Nix. Mr. Nix was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Inez French Nix and his parents; two sisters, Joyce Moore and Janice Bates; three brothers, Rubin, Curtis, and Gerald Nix.
Survivors include one daughter, Melessia Nix Goodwin; two sons, Boyce Nix and Dennis Nix; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
