Funeral for Henry Arlin Oliver, 101, of Moulton will be Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 2 p.m at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with O.D. Bowling, Ray McWhorter and Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Oliver, who died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born September 8, 1911, in Lawrence County to William Washington Oliver and Nancy Elizabeth Oliver. He was a faithful member of Fairfield Church of Christ and a retired farmer and well driller. He loved playing the fiddle. He loved his family and his yearly birthday gatherings. He was a very good man and was loved by everyone. Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie L. Oliver; two sons, Henry Glenn Oliver and Robert Gene Oliver; and one daughter, Alpha Owens.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Oliver; nine daughters, Lela Johnson, Anne Moses, Melba Henderson, Nadine Slapik, Mabel Carlisle, Bette Thomley, Norene Mullican, Rita King and Lisa Latini; 40 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairfield Church of Christ or Oxford Home Health.
