Helen Trousdale – Obituary

Helen Trousdale, 96, of Rogersville passed away Friday February 16,2018 at Athens Health and Rehab. Visitation will be at Elkins East Chapel Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. A service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. Brother Guy McDaniel will be officiating. Burial will be at Rogersville Civitan Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Henry Trousdale; granddaughter Marla Rae Kent; parents Vannie and Bama Howell; sisters Myrtle Goodman, Gurtie Snoddy, Murtie Weathers, Jewel Deming, Margaret Grisham Newton; brothers Buster Howell and Luster Howell.

She is survived by daughters Edith Kent (Wayne) and Sanda Martel, both of Rogersville; grandson Jason Kent, Elkmont; step-grandchildren Patrick Martel (Jennifer), Cartersville, Ga. and Melissa (Sean) Scott, Clarkston, Mich.; two step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Ruth Hamilton, Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Phil Pressnell, Ray Tucker, Michael Clemmons, Jimmy Glass, Mark McIntyre and Rocky Rose.

She was a lifelong resident of Rogersville and a member of Anderson church of Christ.
