Helen Ruth Stubblefield, born July 02, 1938 to William “Bud” Russell and Bertha Wells Russell of Jackson County, Alabama. Helen passed away at Shepherds Cove Hospice on June 15, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jeff Stubblefield, Sisters: Alice Russell, Shirley Smart, Augusta Wynn and Nell Helton. Brothers: William “Bruce” Russell and George “Bodie” Russell. Helen is survived by her son: Mike Stubblefield, daughter: Pam (Harlon) Higginbotham, grandchildren: Heather Stubblefield, Jamey (Kenny) Treece, Haley (Jason) Thomason and Cody (Jessica) Higginbotham. great grandchildren: Alex Hampton, Kaleb Simpson, Kolbe Simpson, Reed Thomason, Lane Thomason, Carter Thomason, Bailie Treece and Brayden Treece. Sisters: Margaret Deerman and Fannie Short. She was a member of Pine Island Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Joe Moore, Harlon Higginbotham, Cody Higginbotham, Jason Thomason, Kaleb Simpson and Alex Hampton. Graveside Service will be held at 11am Friday, June 17, 2022 at Old Prospect Cemetery. Reverend Joe Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggested donation to Shepherds Cove Hospice. The family would like to give a special thanks to Shepherds Cove, special friend Michael Webb and special niece Misty Bannister.
