Funeral for Helen Royer, 87, of Decatur will be Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Doug Ripley officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Royer, who died Monday, April 29, 2013, was born January 19, 1926, in Morgan County to Osbie Light and May Long Light. She was a member of Decatur Baptist Church. She was retired from Goodyear after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Orville Roan and Roland Royer.
Survivors include one brother, Osbie Light of Decatur; one sister, Bobbie Jett of Decatur; six nieces and two nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Light, Danny Light, Chris Hodges, Bill Wright and Tim Hardiman.
