Helen M. Cook, age 78, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. She was born in Onton, Kentucky, was a retired bookkeeper with Berry Furniture, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Haleyville.
A Gathering of friends and family will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Don Wright officiating. Burial will be in Onton, Kentucky.
Ms. Cook is survived by her children, Liz Curtis, Phil Cook, Chuck Cook and Paul Cook; brother, Compton I. Mahurin; and 7 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert L. and Mildred Mahurin; and two sisters, Huberta Dent and Alice Elder.
