Helen Louise Shipman was born July 9, 1926. She passed away July 10, 2014 at the age of 88. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Haleyville.
Visitation is Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Al.
Funeral service is Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial in Hillcrest City Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Lou Ann(husband Ralph) Marcum, Jane Ellen( husband Terry) Brewer and Carol Rose Shipman; sister, Ann S. Dunn; 4 grandchildren, Lohren Adam (wife Kallen) Marcum, Stephanie Renea (husband Chris) Bailey, Barrett Patrick Brewer, Sherry Leigh Rowland; 2 great grandchildren, Alexis Skyy Bailey and Peyton Elizabeth Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Andrew and Claudia T Steele;
husband, Elmer Lorenzo Shipman, Jr.; sisters, Jewel Barnes, Edith Polson, I.V. Cole, Adele Treagre and Ruby Hutchins; brothers, Drexel Steele, Joseph Tillman Steele, Donald Steele and Benjamin Steele.
