Helen Louise Elliott Thompson, age 88, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014. Visitation will be today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kirk Bishop and Brother Randy Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Helen was a Colbert County native and a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who left her earthly home Monday to be joined together with her loved ones that have already passed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Bessie Elliott, husband, William Thompson, daughter, Judy T. Parker, grandson, Adam Bryant Estis, sisters, Dorothy Borden and Juliene Stacks, and brothers, Charles Elliott Jr. and Raymond Gene Elliott.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Estis Gandy and husband, Alan; son and daughter-in-law, Joel Parker and wife, Pat; brother, R. C. Elliott and wife, Barbara; sisters, Betty Inman and Elizabeth Inman Wise and husband, Charles; grandchildren, Bill Parker (Audra), Andy Estis (April), and Alan Gandy Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Estis, Cameron Swindall, and Claudia Parker
Mom, “Mamaw”, we love you and will miss you, but we will make you proud and see you again.
Pallbearers are Ben Floyd, Randy Inman, Chris Estis, Jimmy Kent, Anthony “Boo” Kent ,and Rickey Ayers.
