A Celebration of Life Service for Helen L. Mitchell Henson 86, is set for 1:00 pm Tuesday at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Whittemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery
Helen died peacefully December 5, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born September 25, 1935 in Mark Tree, Arkansas to the late Audray and Ruby Mitchell. She was a lifelong member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church; she was retired from Wurlitzer after 32 years, after her retirement she worked for Hastings Furniture and Interiors in sales. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Henson; parents; brothers, Paul Mitchell, Charlie “Buddy” Mitchell, Audray “Flea” Mitchell; sister, Carolyn Hastings Hill.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy “Pat” King; sister, Kat Chapman (Junior); grandchildren, Trey King (Amanda), Nathan King (Tiffanie) Great grandchildren, Laikyn King, Tret King, there mother Jessica King and Addie Faith King; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers, Tim Chapman, Noah Chapman, Ken Hastings, Zach Hastings, Tyler Davis, Jordan Davis.
Honorary, Trey King, Nathan King, Tret King, Vernon Wooten, Dr. Darwin Wooten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tuscumbia Baptist Church c/o the Cemetery Fund, for the care and upkeep of the prayer garden.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 to service time.
