Helen L Houston Powers went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2016. Originally from Lexington Tn, Helen resided in Memphis, Tn for many years and retired from Schering Plough. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F Powers, Sr., parents Effie and Asalee Houston, six brothers, Abraham, Autry, Hoyt, Milam, Brandon and Willie. Helen is survived by her sons, James Fred Powers Jr., of Sugar Land, Tx and Donald R Powers, wife Carolyn and grand daughter Lauren of Old Hickory, Tn., grandson Christopher, wife Heather and great grandson Samuel of Memphis, Tn. She also has numerous nieces and nephews with special thanks to niece Charlotte and John Paulk.
