Helen Kathryn Thomas, 94, was called to her eternal resting place on July 10, 2017. She was born in Ithaca, NY to Anthony and Katarina Brablc of Enfield Center. Graduating in 1941 from Ithaca High School, she worked as a secretary at GLF and Village of Cayuga Heights. She and her husband moved to Altamonte Springs, FL in 1980 where Helen, always an accomplished seamstress, worked at Cloth World until her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph Brablc, sisters Mary Gallo and Emelia Updike, and her husband of 61 years, George W. Thomas. She is survived by three sons, Timothy of Altamonte Springs, FL, Jeffrey (Jeen) of Madison, AL, Philip (Lina) of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Shelbi of Iowa City, IA, Monica of Marion, IA, Kylah and Taran of Madison, AL and Shermaine of Woodstock, GA. She is also survived by a number of loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday July 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm with memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm at Madison Chapel Funeral Home, Madison, AL. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
