Funeral for Helen Janet Taylor 78, of Hatton, will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. at Jackson Memory Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. just prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Taylor passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at ECM Hospital in Florence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Hazel Jeffreys, sister, Verna Craig, brothers, Norman Jeffreys and Gary Jeffreys, and son, Randall Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Dwight Taylor; daughter, Lisa Taylor, of Hatton, Ala.; brothers, Allen Jeffreys (Peggy), of Decatur, Ala., and Raymond Jeffreys, of Florence, Ala.; grandsons, Jason Taylor (Tammy), of Anchorage, Alaska, and Corey Richey (Danielle), of Killen, Ala.; granddaughter, Brittney Cochran (Brandon), of Hatton, Ala.; and great-grandchildren, Kyle, Brianna, Cheyanne and Tristan.
Pallbearers will be Gayron Ingram, Richard Woodruff, George Capps, Jerry Clemmons, Vance Henry and Larry Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edgar Hammond, John Cole, James Jenkins, Calvin Terry, Gwynn Owens, Larry Bradford and Bobby Kirkland.
Mrs. Taylor worked in the medical field for 15 years for Dr. Rhyne. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor also had a wedding photography studio, D and H Photography, for 20 years. In her leisure time she also loved and enjoyed playing music with her friends.
She was a precious loving wife for 62 wonderful years.
