Helen Irene Hankla Sitter, 103, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at home. Helen was a hairdresser for many years. She was member of Highland Baptist Church and also in the Sunshine Band.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be held in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Bro. Chris Underwood.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Sitter; daughter, Kay Sitter Kirk; grandson, Michael Kirk; parents, Washington Lafayette and Edith Lence Hankla; sisters, Margaret Sadler and Mary Dale; brother, Jack Hankla.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Eugene Sitter (Elizabeth), Round Hill, VA; grandchildren, Duke Kirk (Adelaide), Summer Baker (Mark), David Sitter (Melissa), Tiffany Sitter, and Lance Sitter (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren, Alston Kirk, Landon Kirk, Taylor Baker, Sarah Baker, Harrison Baker, Julia Sitter, Joshua Sitter, Natalie Sitter and Michael Sitter.
Pallbearers will be David Sitter, Lance Sitter, Duke Kirk, Landon Kirk, Harrison Baker and Mark Baker.
