Helen Helms Slankas, age 91, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Lincoln County, NC, a homemaker, an Army Veteran, and attended Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Neal Funeral Home with rosary service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012, with Father Joseph Mundakal officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Savannah and Revis Camp Helms; and her husband, John Slankas.
