Helen “Grisham” Chaney, age 87, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Thursday, March 03, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday, March 05, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel; with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Shady Grove. Brother Scott Coffey will be officiating. She was a member of Vandiver Hollow Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chaney is preceded in death by husband, Grady Chaney; parents, Robert and Pearl Grisham; daughter, Carolyn Chaney; brothers, Taylor, Delano, and John Grisham; sisters, Eliza Fisher, Elsie Davis, and Onell Pennington.
Survivors are son, James Melvin Chaney (Ramona); daughter, Reba Chaney Hill; brother, Luther Grisham; sisters, Lucy Davis (Chuck), Martha Malone, Linda Garrett (Jimmy), and granddaughter, Theresa Peters (Joey); great grandchildren, Adam Peters and Katlyn Peters; great-great granddaughter, Paisley Peters.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Adam Peters; nephews, Paul, Jessie Fisher, Jason Grisham, Steve, Heath, Kevin Malone, and Tony Jones.
Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
