Helen Frances Wood Campbell age 89 of Athens, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Campbell was born November 6, 1928 in Trousdale County, TN to Robert Ray Neely and Mildred Draper Hancock Neely.
Memorial services will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Henry Carter and Eric Mattox officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Athens Arts League.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Martin Campbell and Don Wood, Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Fortner.
Survived by two sons, Claude Fortner, Jr. and wife, Wanda of Athens and Donald E. Wood, Jr. and wife, Sharmon of Athens; one daughter, Claudette Smith of Brunswick, GA six step-children, Karen Woolwine, Sharon Fischer, Robin Black, Debbie Hutson, Marty Brooks and James Campbell; eight grandchildren, Brian Fortner, Jason Fortner, Jeremy McGee, John McGee, Wendy Smith, Eddie Smith, Trey Wood and T.J. Wood; and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Neely of Costa Rica; one sister, Billie Huffines of Hartsville, TN
