Helen Frances Williams, age 100 years young, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, of Florence. The service will be Friday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Phillip Skipworth officiating. Burial will be at Florence City Cemetery.
She was a member of Florence Baptist Church and was retired from Bluecross and Blueshield. She was also an accomplished artist and art teacher.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Lennie Green; several brothers; and sisters.
Survivors are her daughter, Lavetta W. Adams, of Florence, Alabama; and son, Howard Lon Williams Jr. (Barbara), of Ohio; sister, Mary Ellen Johnson, of Palm Springs, California; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
