Funeral service for Helen Beatrice Parker Gandy, 88, will be Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gandy died on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 8, 1927, in Lawrence County to Arthur Jackson Parker and Eula Clementine Stockton Parker. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama. Mrs. Gandy was retired from her work as an Administrative Assistant with the City of Decatur after 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Waymon Gandy and her parents.
