Graveside Services for Mr. Heflin Spivey, age 44, of Ashland, were held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Claude Bennett officiating.
Mr. Spivey passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Born in Alexander City and a lifelong resident of Clay County, he spent most of his life as an Auto Body Mechanic and detailer. Mr. Spivey was a caring, outgoing, and loving Father and Grandfather who always made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. An outspoken man, he enjoyed spending time watching his son Jason play football for the Clay County Volunteers, watching wrestling, and was very proud of his children.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kisha Spivey of Ashland; 4 children: Alissa Spivey, Shawn Spivey, both of Ashland, Derrick Spivey and Jason Spivey, both of Lineville; two grandchildren: Ember and Maci Spivey; his maternal grandmother: Willie Mae Mitchell Childers of Alexander City; and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Spivey and Rebecca “Becky” Dawn Jones Spivey, and one brother, Christopher Shawn Spivey.
Active pallbearers were: Anthony McClellen, Brandon Graeser, Anthony Prestridge, James McDaniel, Scott Simmons, Jody Simmons and Justin Tuck.
Honorary pallbearers were: Shane Smith.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
