FLORENCE-The 31st annual Alabama Renaissance Faire will take place at Fountain-on-the-Green (Wilson Park) in downtown Florence, Alabama, on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, and SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29. It opens at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and closes at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, it extends from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Admission is FREE!
Enjoy wandering troubadours, Medieval-style hand-to-hand combat, masters of the hammered dulcimer, Medieval-style archery, and so much more. Meet His Majesty King David of Mitchell and Lady Jennifer of Swain. Participate in period dances and foot parades around the park. Stop awhile to play a game of chess.
Visit merchants with handmade chain mail, hand-woven baskets, handcrafted jewelry, handmade costumes, natural oils from around the world, and other period wares of various types.
And don’t pass up the food: turkey legs, fresh-squeezed lemonade, fried pies, funnel cakes, crème soda in refillable bottles, delicious pretzels, barbecue – it’s all there.
