Hazel Wynell Casteel age 85 0f Athens, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Casteel was born March 30, 1932 in Limestone County, AL to William Franklin “Bill” Adams and Golden Mattie Casteel.
Services will be Friday, September 22, 2017 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Martin Casteel; brother, Grady Moss; sister, Reba Peek.
Survived by one son, Dr. Gregory J. Casteel of Athens; one brother, Bobby Adams and wife, Brenda of Athens; three sisters, Estelle Tucker of Athens, Marie Showalter of Tampa, FL and Nora Madry of Washington, IL; several nieces and nephews; and several extended family members, special thank you to Barbara Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Tucker, Jerry Tucker, Dennis Tucker, Dwayne Adams, Mark Showalter and Steve Davis.
