Hazel Word, 82, of Rogersville, died Dec. 24, 2016 at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Rogersville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be today, December 27th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rogersville Church of Christ. Funeral service will follow immediately at the church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Word was preceded in death by her parents, Cleatus & Lucille Thomas; sisters, Geraldine Nunley, Rachel Evans, and Sadie Nix; brothers, Bill Thomas, Paul Thomas, James Thomas, and an infant brother.
She is survived by her husband, T.F. “Frank” Word; children, Debbie Emerson, Abbie (Reagan) Matlock, Shelia (Barry) White, Tony (Judy) Word, and Terry (Shari) Word; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Jackie (Shelia) Thomas; sister, Lunette (Roy) Crunk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
