In Loving Memory of Hazel Smith Shreve Burtram
Hazel, the seventh child born October 19, 1932 to Clyde and Cora Smith of Branchville, Alabama, died April 19, 2020 at Rehab Select in Albertville. She attended Springville High School where she led the basketball team’s cheerleaders and was valedictorian of her class of 1950.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing a son, Christopher Lance Shreve (Brenda Shreve) of Priceville, Alabama, a daughter, Jodi Shreve Nuttall (David Nuttall) of Huntsville, Alabama and a husband, Commander Roderick Burtram, USN (Ret) and several nieces and nephews.
A short graveside service will be held at the Camp Ground Cemetery on Camp Ground Road in Big Cove Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00. Please remain in your car, facing the cemetery and tune your radio to 107.9 FM to hear the service from the white church parking lot. The cemetery is across the street from Big Cove United Presbyterian Church where Hazel was a member for 50+ years. For the last few years she has attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Springville, Alabama.
We will have a gathering in the future where we can remember our dear Hazel.
