Hazel Marie Davis Barnett, age 79 of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Marie was born in Pettusville, Alabama on March 8, 1943, to the late Wallace Edward and Wilmer Lucille (Trusty) Davis. She was a member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading in her spare time. Marie is survived by her loving children, Wesley T. (Felicia) Barnett, Anthony D. (Cindy) Barnett, and Penny (Barry) Stone, all of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Drew (Carrie) Barnett, Caleb (Michelle) Barnett all of Lynchburg, and Patrick Stone of Winston-Salem, NC; honorary granddaughter, Abigail Fletcher of Lynchburg; and great-grandchildren, Ezra Barnett, Asher Barnett, Wayland Barnett, Saul Barnett and Henry Barnett; and sister, Judy Connoyer of Lynchburg. Visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
